Our Institute, with the support of the Progressive Hungary Foundation, organised a debate entitled “Housing for Everyone!” in the Political History Institute, on 28 February 2017. The event was well attended, approximately 100 guests were present.
In the debate, the Institute for Transformation introduced its discussion paper “The Right to Housing”, which was presented by the author, Bálint Misetics. /You can download the discussion paper here/
Participants of the ensuing roundtable discussion were Rebeka Szabó, Deputy Mayor of Zugló (Dialogue for Hungary), Sándor Nagy, Deputy Mayor of Szeged (Együtt), Zoltán Lakner, political scientist, Bálint Misetics, social policy developer, Eszter Somogyi, sociologist (Metropolitan Research Institute) and Gábor Borsos, chair of the Institute for Transformation.
Gábor Borsos, chair of the Institute for Transformation greeted the public, briefly introduced the Institute and presented the 2017 plans of the organization, which included a debate on basic income and a conference on knowledge society in the spring.
